Why Choose Us
From advanced foot care to full-body rehabilitation, find everything you need to move comfortably again.
Multi-Disciplinary Team Under One Roof
Registered Chiropodists, Physiotherapists, a Doctor of Chiropractic, a Massage Therapist and an Acupuncturist, all at
3305 Harvester Road, Burlington.
Chiropodist-Led Foot Care
Our Registered Chiropodists hold full scope-of-practice authority in Ontario, including minor surgical procedures, prescription authority, and injection administration — clinical capabilities that pedorthist-led competitors do not have.
Internal Cross-Referral
Patients don't need to start over if their needs change. Our practitioners refer internally — a
foot clinic patient with
knee pain can be seen by our
physiotherapy team, and a
rehab patient with
foot concerns can be referred to our chiropodists, all at the same address.

We understand that you may have questions or need clarification, and this section is designed to provide you with valuable information to help you make informed decisions about your care.
WHAT TO KNOW

What is the difference between a Chiropodist and a Podiatrist?
Chiropody, as defined by the Ontario Chiropody Act, refers to the assessment, treatment, and prevention of foot-related diseases, disorders, or dysfunctions through therapeutic, orthotic, or palliative means. Podiatrists, on the other hand, are American-trained foot practitioners who were regulated and registered under the provisions of the Chiropody Act in the Province of Ontario before 1993. Both chiropodists and podiatrists are governed by the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and must pass extensive board exams and provincial licensing exams to practice.
In practice, there is no significant difference between a chiropodist and a podiatrist. Both professions specialize in the assessment, treatment, and prevention of foot disorders, offering comprehensive nail and skin care, performing nail and soft tissue surgeries under local anesthesia, and prescribing and fitting patients with custom foot orthotics, ankle-foot orthoses, and orthopedic footwear. Patients can expect excellent, safe care from either an Ontario Registered Chiropodist or a Podiatrist.
Are your services insured?
Yes, most Extended Health Benefits Insurers and Group Health Benefits Plans offer coverage for Chiropody services. However, it's always a good idea to verify the details of your specific plan or ask for a "Pre-Determination" (an estimate of the cost for your care) during your initial consultation with your Chiropodist. You can then submit this estimate to your insurance company for approval.
Are your services covered by OHIP?
Chiropody services are not covered by OHIP. However, most private insurance plans do provide coverage for Chiropody services and the specialized procedures offered. To determine the extent of coverage under your specific plan, contact your insurance carrier directly or request a "Pre-Determination" during your consultation with your Chiropodist.
Do you assess and treat children?
Yes, we do. Our clinic offers comprehensive pediatric foot care services, catering to the needs of individuals across all age groups, from the very young to the elderly. Our experienced team of professionals is well-equipped to handle a wide range of foot-related issues in children, ensuring that they receive the appropriate care and treatment to maintain optimal foot health as they grow and develop.
Do I need a medical referral to come to your clinic?
No, you don't need a medical referral to come to our clinic. We often receive referrals from numerous community physicians and other healthcare providers, but it is not a requirement for you to see us. To make an appointment, simply give our clinic a call, and our friendly staff will help you schedule a convenient time for your visit. We look forward to providing you with the best possible care and addressing your health concerns.
